PARISH PLAN The Vestry has created a long range plan for Church of the Advent. This plan outlines the objectives for the parish to execute its mission and realize its Vision and details the necessary steps to accomplish these objectives. Church of the Advent grew steadily from its founding to the late 1990's, matching the 8-10% per year growth of the population of the Northwest Valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area. Around 1999, growth in Advent ceased and a period of decline set in while the area continued to grow. This is traced to a number of understandable and correctable factors. The plan outlines the steps necessary to resume growth. After the first 3 years of we have accomplished the critical steps of the plan. We called a new Rector who has been enthusiastically received by the congregation. We have expanded our Pastoral Ministry. Membership and attendance are again growing. Average Sunday attendance is up approximately 20% as are pledges. You may request a copy of the plan through the office or download the plan in Acrobat format by clicking on the link below.
